Thursday!!
We went over the scavenger hunt that you told us to do from the CIA factbook. As soon as class started Mr. aSchick told Jevan to teach the class. Jevan went around the room and called on us individually to answer the questions. Thursdays class was quite exciting and lively. We didn't really do anything other then go over our answers.

TEST!!
We took the test today and I must say it was pretty hard and I could have studied a little harder. Although, the essay question were a little difficult in the fact of the length. Next test/quiz I know what I am in for though! I don't think I did as well as I could have but it is only one test/quiz and I can definitely bring my grade up next time if I study correctly.

Globaliztion
We talked a little more about globalization. More towards the pros and cons about it. At first our internet connection wouldn't work. Although, middle of the class it began to work. We also took majority of the time to focus on why globalization isn't good or bad. We decided to do a power-point with our group about globalization.

9/11/01
My grandfather was supposed to visit the twin towers that day he was supposed to be going up to see the view from the 90th floor. Although, since it was a little foggy his friends decided that it would be better if they just did it another time. He has many very neat pictures only blocks away. He has many pictures of the tower actually falling. I was much to young to remember any expression, or feelings from the day. Although my mom and grandmother told me that they could not get in contact with my grandfather for about 7-9 hours. And it was so scary just waiting and waiting.

Google Docs.
Wow, what a cool century. I can do reports with friends from miles away. How you might ask? Well I will tell you. its called google docs, you must have a gmail account or this will not work. So first off, 1 person in your group created a group. Then we ask questions to each other and everyone would answer a question or ask one. It is a really neat invention. And, I believe all teachers should look into it. I mean who doesn't like working on a computer, yet alone doing it with friends in your class. I am so excited to be able to work with the new technology, and study and learn a lot.

Shift Happens!?
Today, we watched a video about the changes in technology! I found this video very interesting. Although I believe the facts I learned were quite useless in the sense that, 1.) Things are going to change so quickly and 2.) DURING the video things also probably changed somewhere in the world. I did enjoy it though, but I just feel that these things will be out to date so quickly. These changes are manifesting themselves in my personal life because soon things will change and when I'm older I will most likely have 10-14 jobs by the time I am only 38. The role in technology plays a very big part in my life, maybe a little too big. Concluding my blog tonight I must say that I did find the video very entertaining but I little unhelpful due to change!

Socrates
Today we talked about Socrates. We had a student help teach the class. Socrates was a Greek philosopher, who created a method in which he would question everything and he wouldn't try to convince anyone. Although, he would ask why they believed that and ask for facts. He didn't want opinions he wanted facts on why they believe that.Today, was fun and I really enjoyed learning about Socrates and his method!
